How visits are counted
When you open a page, the site's server sends a record to Google Analytics after the page has already reached you. Your browser never talks to Google.
The record includes:
- the address and title of the page you viewed (for pages that don't exist, only a "page not found" marker, never what was typed);
- the page language and your browser's main language;
- your device type (phone, tablet or computer);
- the country your connection comes from, as reported by Cloudflare, which delivers the site;
- the site you came from, main address only, plus any campaign parameters in the link;
- an identifier created on the server.
That identifier comes from a calculation using your IP address and browser, mixed with a random code that changes every day. The previous day's code is deleted, so tomorrow you count as a new visitor, and not even the site can link one visit to the other. Your IP address is never sent to Google and the site doesn't keep it.
The site tells Google this data may not be used for advertising or ad personalization. Google Signals and user-provided data collection are off.
Google Analytics reports stay available for up to 14 months. The site uses them to learn which pages get read, in which language, and where people come from. None of these numbers appear on the site.

Why this is allowed
The legal basis is legitimate interest under Brazil's data protection law (LGPD, art. 7, IX): knowing whether the site does its job, with as little data as possible and without identifying anyone. Google's servers are outside Brazil, so this data is transferred abroad under LGPD art. 33 and Google's terms.
If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal (Firefox, Brave and DuckDuckGo offer it), your visit isn't counted.

Live chat
During a stream, the chat on the page is Twitch's public chat, and your browser connects straight to Twitch. Twitch learns about the visit (like any connection, it sees your IP address). The connection is anonymous: you aren't signed in and you don't post anything. Outside a stream, the chat is a simulation running on your device, with no connection at all.
Clips, thumbnails and emotes are served by the site itself.

Hosting
The site is hosted by HostGator and delivered through Cloudflare. As with any website, these services log connections (IP address, time, requested page) to run and to protect against attacks, under their own policies.

Your rights
The LGPD (art. 18) lets you ask whether there's data about you, and request access, correction, anonymization or deletion, or object to processing. Since the site can't link a visit to a person, there's usually nothing to look up, but every request sent to falecom@wesleycaribe.com gets an answer.
